Good Question

In a recent post comment, Oz asked:

How come you don’t have a “C” name?

That’s a good question!

My family’s names:

Lynsey
Casey
Carey (brother)
Brandy
Debby (mother)
Leslie (step-father)
Emmett (father)

So the real question is, "why don’t I have a name ending in an "ee" sound?"

There are two versions of my name’s origin: my dad claims I am named after some of his relatives (Nicholas, Joe). My mother claims that I am named after the little kid on the TV show "Eight Is Enough". After reviewing the evidence, I’m going with my mom on this one.

This is me as a kid:

This is the kid from "Eight is Enough":

What do you think?

I think your name came from the tv thing. That’s just my opinion! I LEAVE FOR FRANCE TOMORROW! Approx. 22 hours!

Wow, that’s some truly extraordinary hair you have in that photo. And yes, that other kid could be your long lost twin!

Yup, definitely TV kid. About your family’s names, I’ve always thought it would’ve been cool if Lynsey’s name had been Catey instead. Then the youngest three would go: Carey, Casey, and Catey, with that middle letter going right down the alphabet! Oh, and tell your dad that he has the second coolest guy name on the planet! ( 1: Grant, 2: Emmett, 3:Hayden ) Why didn’t you label your sisters? OH! and why am I not on that list??? I am going to take this very personally. Just Kidding!

Catey would have been a good call…I didn’t label the sisters because I thought it was sort of obvious…maybe not though. And you’re an honorary sis…

I’m going to have to go with Mom’s theory on this one, too. You look almost identical. Your dad’s reasoning could just be a plus…lol. But that is really weird that you are the only one out of all of the kids without “ee” in the last part. It just makes you that much more special…or specialer, because it’s a fun word. Well, anyway, I like the pic of me at Graduation! Yay! No more school…until fall when SMS is in session, but you know what I mean.

Anyway, I love you and I’ll talk to you soon! Send Holland my love, too! Much love!

Casey Ellen
