Today I Joined the Revolution
After months of preparation and planning, today I bought an iPod.
I know, I know… some of you are patting me on the back, and others are shaking your heads. Basically, I’ve been living without music in my life since my miniDisc player quit working properly and I was about to die of deprivation. So a few months ago I decided to prepare for an iPod purchase. Prepare? Yes. Prepare. I transferred all of my existing CD’s to my hard drive, and I downloaded the album art for each. Yes. I know. This is a little bit crazy, but I love the art, so I digress. I told myself that as soon as I had finished, I would have put in enough time to justify the purchase.
I finished the task last month and I still didn’t buy it. I didn’t want to buy it online (don’t ask me why) and I didn’t want to make a special trip just to buy an iPod. So I waited until today, when I was visiting the Mid-Manhattan Library which is only three blocks from an electronics store.
Yes friends, today was the day. I am now the owner of a shiny new (black) iPod.
I opted for the largest size so that I won’t soon run out of space… but that may quickly become an issue as I also realized today that you can download StrongBad Emails to your iPod through iTunes.
Between that, and the Merrie Melodies Shorts I will soon need another one…
