We Did It!

1 hour and 30 minutes, 72 pages of dialog, two actors.

Opening night of All Aboard the Marriage Hearse went great!

It’s crazy to think that one week ago today we were still struggling with lines and wondering what we’d gotten ourselves into. I’ve never done a play with only myself and another actor/actress, so I’m very proud of the work involved. It’s a powerful feeling, knowing the whole play rests on just the two of you… if something goes wrong, it’s your fault. I’ve never really had nerves before a show, but yesterday I did… not about lines, or forgetting anything, but about the responsibility to the audience. Usually you’re sharing the responsibility with other people… not so in a two hander. If they aren’t entertained, it’s no one to blame but you.

Anyhow, the show seemed to go over well with the audience… they got all of the humor we saw in it and still stayed with us in the more serious moments. I’m very happy with the show we gave, and I’m looking forward to the rest of the run!

See my play… on the CHEAP

$15 tickets available for opening weekend of All Aboard the Marriage Hearse.

Yeah, me, in a play, only $15.

Be there or be square.

Wherefore art I a soldier?

Had an audition yesterday for a TurboTax commercial… and was called in for the role of a soldier.

Do I see a pattern?

Hmm… maybe it’s time for some buzz cut headshots…

iActor (SAG’s online casting site) is supposed to be live now, for all SAG actors to take part. If you haven’t filled out your profile, get on it…

Bring the Support!

Alright everyone, this weekend marks the final three shows for “Angry Young Women…”, the play I’ve been doing for some time now. If you haven’t seen it, what are you waiting for?

We’re expecting industry this weekend, and it would be great to have some support in the audience… so COME SEE THE SHOW ALREADY!

But please, leave the kids at home.

In other news, my web host fixed the problem I’ve been having, so expect regular posting again.

SA-WEET!

Eat Me!

This weekend I shot a short film called "Eat Me". The plot is a little hard to explain, as you kind of have to see it to understand it… needless to say, it’s high concept.

The crew was GREAT:

Anya Meksin, Writer & Producer
Aaron Walker, Director
Rashi deStefano, Assistant Director
Ian Bloom, Director of Photography
Andy Parker, Assistant Camera
Aaron Schuelke, Grip
Andrea Ciganek, Hair & Makeup
Jesse Millward, Grip
Zubin Jelveh, General Awesome Dude
Alex Goldberg, Grip
Jeremy Craig, Gaffer
Anthony (aT) Thompson, Sound
Julie Buck, Props

And the actress playing opposite me, Sarah Kozinn, was incredible… she’s going places, so keep an eye out.

Here’s a link to photos from the shoot
